Prayer
I’m intrigued how different things stand out for people reading the same book. If you would like to see someone else’s take with reference to chapter 6 take a look at this blog. I concur that it is possible, indeed acceptable, to pray on the toilet.
Meanwhile, I was first struck by the comparison between two views of earth. On the one hand Julian’s image the size of a hazelnut: so small and insignificant. Then Russell Schweickart, the astronaut, seeing the earth from the perspective of the moon remarking that it could be blocked from view by his thumb: so small and fragile.
For my reflection I offer a couple of pencil and watercolour drawings.
